could turn out to be a genius move on her part. i mean, what was her approval rating prior to the presidential campaign? somewhere around 80% or so, which if memory serves me correctly, was the highest approval rating of any American serving in public office at the time. so obviously, she had nowhere to go but down. the left sure didn't waste no time going after her after she was introduced by mccain, and lo and behold, it didn't take long for many alaskans who had been satisfied with her performance -- or at least content to the point that they didn't give a shit -- to suddenly become outspoken critics. alaskan bloggers and media suddenly had an opportunity to grab their 15 minutes by unearthing whatever they could, no matter how trivial or even false. no way her life or her career was gonna be the same after that nasty presidential campaign. her husband's dui from 1942 was was made front page news for God's sake, and boy did the opposition run with that until they were able to manufacture a rumor that some brain dead idiots actually believed: her mentally damaged son was actually the offspring of her young daughter and she was trying to cover it up
hno: lord have mercy. add to that that her 17 year old daughter was knocked up by a high school boyfriend and God knows what else that i'm forgetting.....is it any wonder that she dipped out? hell, her reasoning that her being a national figure and being a distraction to the point that she couldn't effectively govern grows more credible every day. the last thing any state needs is a governor who is being torn down by the national media on a daily basis -- anything she tries to do for her state is going to be ridiculed and put under a microscope from here on out.
so now she's on the campaign trail, helping her fellow republicans during a critical campaign year. quick -- can anybody name the current governor of alaska? i didn't think so. can anybody name the governor of pennsylvania, hawaii, or rhode island? i didn't think so. ain't no way in hell she would be able to properly serve the people of alaska given the resentment those in the left wing political party have for her.
hey, guess what harry reid was doing today while palin rallied the conservatives in his hometown? yep, he was out on the range firing a rifle, showing just how much he supports the right to bear arms. kind of ironic, huh?
